We support organizations and projects that work for safe, legal escape routes and solidarity cities and oppose the criminalization of (forced) migration. Our main-focus is on the Mediterranean region.

Just Action Samos

Free Food Market

Just Action is a registered Greek NGO, that was founded in April 2020 in the midst of the first COVID-19 lockdown. While most of their projects are focused on displaced communities, they acknowledge that many locals struggle as well to make ends meet. They, therefore, support all communities on Samos with their Free Food Market in Vathy. Given the high price of public infrastructure and lack of financiam means of the camp residents, the organisation also started supporting their service users with the provision of bus tickets to the Closed Controlled Access Centre in Zervou.

No Name Kitchen

Protection on the move

Since state authorities criminalize solidarity-based organizations as a so-called 'pull factor' at borders, the project of No Name Kitchen responds by providing life saving support to people on the move and documenting border violence in Bosnia, Serbia, Greece, Montenegro and at the Moroccan border: Combining humanitarian and political actions to denounce violations of human rights while supporting the people on the move with healthcare, food, shelter, legal and psychological assistance. The Safe Passage Foundation supports the grassroots movement by funding their work to ensure access to basic lifesaving aid, psychological support and legal actions to report and denounce the violations of human rights systematically happening at the borders.
